How we work out your chart
The sky at your birth minute
Your birth date, time and city are turned into one exact moment, using the time-zone rules your city had that day (daylight saving included). For that moment we calculate where the Sun, Moon and eight planets were, seen from Earth, with astronomy-engine, an open-source astronomy library (MIT licence) accurate to well under a degree. Signs are the tropical zodiac most Western astrologers use.
Rising sign and houses
Your rising sign is the sign coming up on the eastern horizon over your birthplace at that minute. Houses use the Placidus system, the most common one; above the polar circles, where Placidus breaks down, we use Porphyry. Without a birth time there is no rising sign, so houses count from your Sun sign, and we say so in your reading.
Patterns between planets
Two planets in a conjunction (0°), sextile (60°), square (90°), trine (120°) or opposition (180°), within a few degrees, form a pattern. Your reading opens with the closest ones.
Who writes the readings
We are product designers and engineers. Every reading block (each planet in each sign and house, each pattern, each pair of signs, each day and month) was written once by an AI model to one house style, then checked by our system for length, banned phrases and medical, money or legal advice. Your reading puts together the blocks your chart calls for. Nobody writes it live, and the same chart always reads the same.
For entertainment
The positions are real astronomy. Their meaning is astrology, offered for entertainment. It describes; it doesn't decide.
